What is an imaginary play space?

Imaginary Play Spaces are affordable, easy-to-install designs that create inclusive play opportunities without the cost or complexity of traditional accessible equipment.

3 girls play on a brightly colour path. One girl is in a wheelchair. The path has a castle, a key, a chest, a shop and other play elements.

They can be used as:
• A long-term alternative to expensive playground upgrades
• An instant, temporary way to make your space more inclusive

They are our own idea, created from lived experience.

Imaginary Play Spaces support all children including disabled, neurotypical and neurodiverse children. They encourage shared play that brings kids together across different walks of life. They also give parents and children a way to play and engage together.
